Learn how to track and request payments from the Sales section of your Edvisor account.
Using the ‘Sales’ functionality on Edvisor, you can easily track and request payments from your students throughout the trip preparation process.
To do this, simply follow these steps:
- Open an existing sale to access the "Sale Profile" - Click on ‘Sales’ from the left-side menu and select one sale from the list.
- Once in the sale profile, click on

Manage payments
Within the sale profile, you can monitor all pending and confirmed payments for the student’s trip, including the total amount due, the amount paid, and the outstanding balance.
Request Payments
Inside the payments section, you'll also find two payment buttons:
Manually Add Payment:
This option allows you to register and track payments, when a student pays outside the Edvisor Payments system, such as by cash or bank transfer.
To keep your records accurate, it’s essential to manually log these payments on Edvisor.
- Click on the
Manually Add Payment
button.- Enter the payment amount:.
- Select 'Balance Due' if it’s a full payment
- Or 'Amount' for partial payments.
- Choose the currency in which the payment was made:
- If the payment was made in the same currency as the school, the amount will be deducted from the student’s overall balance.
- If the payment was made in a different currency, enter the exchange rate between the school’s currency and the student’s payment currency (e.g., the student paid in MXN, and the school charges in USD).
- Enter both the payment date and payment method.
- Save the payment by clicking
add payment
. The system will automatically update the balance in both the school’s currency and the payment currency, ensuring transparency and accuracy for both the agency and the student.
- Enter the payment amount:.
💡 This information will then be displayed in both the Sale and the Student Portal.
Request an Online Payment
If you have your EdWallet connected, you'll be able to request payments directly from Edvisor.
- Simply click on
Request Payment
and follow the steps.
The student will receive notifications via email and the Student Portal.
They will be provided with a payment link, allowing them to pay easily through bank transfer, Visa, MasterCard, or American Express.
ℹ️ For both options, you can request the full amount or divide the payment into several installments. Each payment will be deducted from the total balance owed.
How students see your payment request: Email Notifications
If you clicked Request Payment
the student will instantly receive an email notification asking them to complete their payment.
They simply need to click on the 'Proceed to pay' button within the email.
This action opens a payment link, powered by our EdWallet technology, where they can pay the specified amount through bank transfer, credit or debit card.
How students view your payment request: Student Portal
The student can also access your payment request and/or the different installments through their personal Student Portal.
By clicking on 'Payments,' users will access their payment area, where they can view all pending payments and submit each one.

ℹ️ All the funds from the payments made through any of the Edvisor sales features will be collected in your EdWallet account.
