When you create accommodation, the form asks for fields that programs don't have: Type, Room Type, Bathroom Type, Meal Plan, and Weekly Checkout Date Rule. This page covers what each one is and the available options.
When you create accommodation, the form asks for fields that programs don't have. This page covers what each one is.
Type
The kind of accommodation you're listing. Six options:
- Homestay — accommodation in a host family's home.
- Residence — student residence operated by the school or a partner.
- Hotel
- Dormitory — shared sleeping arrangement, common in junior or seasonal programs.
- Apartment — self-contained apartment.
- Hostel
Room Type
Whether the student has a private room or shares with others.
- Shared
- Private
Bathroom Type
Whether the student has a private bathroom or shares.
- Shared
- Private
Meal Plan
Number of meals included per day.
- No meals included
- 1 meal a day
- 2 meals a day
- 3 meals a day
Weekly Checkout Date Rule
Controls how check-out dates are calculated for weekly bookings.
- Check out on same day as check in — a student who checked in on a Monday checks out the following Monday after a one-week booking.
- Check out one day early — the same student checks out on a Sunday.
