Agency: create a private program
Last updated: August 5, 2026
This article shows agencies how to create a private program for their own team. You can link it to a connected campus, or set it up for a school that is not on Edvisor (self-managed inventory). Private programs are only visible to your team and appear in your own search, proposals, and sales.
What it is
As an agency, you can create your own programs when the one you need is not already on Edvisor, or when you want a custom version to add to a proposal. These programs are private to your team.
There are two situations:
- Linked to a connected campus — the program belongs to a school already on Edvisor.
- Not linked (self-managed inventory) — the program is for a school that is not on Edvisor. You enter the provider name yourself.
Why it matters
- You can add any program to a proposal, even one that is not published on Edvisor.
- The program appears in your search, proposals, and sales just like any other.
- Only your team sees it.
Step by step
- At the top left, switch to Inventory.
- In the left menu, click Programs, then click New Program.
- In the Create New Program window, choose the path:
- Click Create.
- Fill in the program details:
- Save.
- After saving, set up pricing, start dates, and eligibility from the program's tabs.
Tips and common issues
- When you add a fee to a custom (unlinked) program, make sure it is assigned to the right custom school so it applies correctly.
- A self-managed program appears in your search and proposals under the provider name you entered.
- If the school is on Edvisor but not connected, send a connection request first — you may not need a private program at all.
