Type-specific fields when creating a program

Last updated: May 7, 2026

When you create a program, the Type you pick determines which extra fields appear on the form. Higher Education programs ask for admissions requirements, K-12 programs ask for grades and format, and Pathway programs let you link to other programs. This page covers what each Type adds.

The Type field on a program form controls more than the program's category — it changes which extra fields appear. Most Types add no extra fields. The three below do.

Higher Education

Adds admissions requirement fields:

  • GPA
  • IELTS, TOEFL, GMAT (minimum scores)
  • References, Personal Statement, Admissions Test, CV (yes/no requirements)
  • Additional requirements (free text)
  • Eligible for Work Permit checkbox

Use these to communicate what students need to apply, so agencies can pre-screen.

K-12

Adds:

  • Grades offered (Kindergarten to 12th Grade checkboxes)
  • Type — Private or Public institution
  • Format — Day School or Boarding School
  • IB checkbox (International Baccalaureate)
  • Exchange Program — Cultural or Other
  • Activities (yes/no with description)

Pathway

Lets you mark a program as a pathway to another program. After picking the Pathway Type, you select:

  • One or more destination campuses. You can pick from any campus on Edvisor, not just schools you're connected to.
  • One or more destination programs within the campuses you picked.

This signals to students and agencies that completing this program leads to enrollment in another.
