How to set course start dates

Set course start dates: Use School Calendar or Custom Start Dates. Custom options are pattern (days of week/month) or manual selection. School Calendar best for shared dates across courses.
Course start dates determine when students can begin a course. Two options.
Steps
Start dates > Edit.
Choose: Use School Calendar (if previously configured) or Enter Custom Start Dates.
Pattern of dates
Set recurring start dates by:
- Days of the month, or
- Days of the week.
Example. Available every Monday.
Manual start dates
Manually select specific available dates from a calendar.
When to use which
- School Calendar. When the same start dates apply across multiple courses.
- Custom pattern. When start dates follow a regular cadence specific to this course.
- Manual. When start dates are irregular or one-off.
