How to create custom courses

Custom courses: Products > Courses > Create New. Requires custom school first. Add start dates (manual or pattern), fees (must check Assign to custom school), pricing (Simple/Flexible Duration/Fixed Duration). Same process works for custom courses on existing Edvisor schools.
Custom courses are programs not in the standard Edvisor catalog. Often used for non-Edvisor schools or programs unique to the agency.
Prerequisite
Custom courses must be added to custom schools. Create the custom school first.
Steps to create a course
- Go to Products > Courses in the right side menu.
- Click Create New.
- Select the custom school from the list.
- Enter the course name and details.
- Save.
Add start dates
In the course view, scroll to Start Dates > Edit (pencil icon).
Two options:
- Manually set start dates. Single specific date.
- Create a pattern of dates. Recurring weekday or days-of-month pattern, with set frequency.
Add fees
- Create the fee first in Products > Fees.
- Important. Check Assign this fee to a custom school and select the custom school.
- Go back to the custom course > scroll to fees > pencil icon to edit.
- Select the fee from the list.
Add pricing
In the course view, scroll to Pricing > Edit (pencil icon).
Three pricing types:
- Simple. Fixed rate regardless of duration.
- Flexible Duration. Different prices by duration tier.
- Fixed Duration. Set price and duration.
Same approach for existing schools
This tutorial is for custom schools. To create custom courses for existing Edvisor schools, the same steps apply.
