How to set product eligibility
Last updated: August 5, 2026
Product eligibility lets you control who can buy a program, accommodation, or other product on Edvisor. Restrict by student nationality, current location, or age — students who don't match cannot see or be quoted the product. Eligibility is set on the product after the initial save.
Eligibility rules control who can see, add to a proposal, and book a product. This article explains the three criteria — nationality, current location, and age — and how they work together. It applies to programs, accommodation, and other products.
What it is
Eligibility rules limit a product to certain students. You set them from the product's tabs. A student sees the product only if they match every rule you set.
Why it matters
- Students only see products they qualify for.
- Agents avoid adding products a student cannot take to a proposal.
The three criteria
- Student nationality — restrict to certain nationalities.
- Student current location — Onshore (already in the country) or Offshore (still abroad).
- Student age — an exact age, or a minimum and maximum.
How they work together
- A product shows only if the student matches all the criteria you set.
- Criteria you leave unset do not filter anyone out.
- Edvisor checks the student's profile and search criteria automatically.
Tips and common issues
- If a product is missing for a student, check whether an eligibility rule is filtering it out.
- Leave a criterion unset if you do not want it to restrict anyone.
