Edvisor Insurance refund policy

Edvisor follows partner insurance providers' refund policies, with a 3.5% transaction fee on refunds. Application mistakes can be adjusted within 48 hours. Available cancellation reasons depend on the policy and provider. A cancellation recorded as Full does not by itself guarantee a refund of the full amount paid.

Edvisor honors the refund policies of partner insurance providers, with a 3.5% transaction fee on any refund.

Edvisor itself has no responsibility to provide refunds on policies that have already started. Refunds follow each provider's terms.

An Australian OSHC period that has already started can still be submitted for cancellation through the in-app form, with additional documents. The refund outcome still follows the provider's terms. See Cancelling OSHC coverage that has already started.

Mistakes on the application

Policies can be adjusted for mistakes or errors made on the application, provided the adjustment is requested within 48 hours of the booking submission. Edvisor will fully refund any difference resulting from the adjustment.

Conditions for cancellation or coverage reduction

The cancellation reasons available depend on the policy and the provider. The cancellation form shows which reasons apply to a given booking.

Australian OSHC reasons include visa refusal, visa refusal for an extension or renewal, a visa change from subclass 500, program cancellation and returning home, the student not travelling to Australia, and changing to another provider.

International policy reasons include visa refusal, the student not travelling, and the student being unable to enter the destination.

Refund amounts before policy starts

• Cancel entire policy: full refund of the policy amount, subject to the provider's approval and any applicable fees.
• Reduce coverage: partial refund.

A cancellation recorded as Full does not, by itself, guarantee a refund of the full amount paid. The provider may approve only part of the coverage, and applicable fees affect the result.
