Learn how to find insurance policies on Edvisor, add them to a quote, or book them right away.
☝️ If this is your first time booking insurance on Edvisor, start by ensuring you have the right insurance providers connected to your platform.

By following this process, you’ll act as an intermediary: the student pays you for the insurance, and you pay the insurance provider.

Search for insurance on Edvisor
To start your insurance search, go to Edvisor > Search > Insurance.
- Select International or OSHC Australia.
- Enter your search criteria: start date, end date, age, client type or destination.
- Click
Searchto view the available options.
The search results will show you all the available policies according to you search criteria. You can narrow down the results using the filters, until you find the policy you were looking for. 
Once you find the policy you like, click "Add to quote" to add this policy to an existing quote or “Buy Now” to proceed with the purchase.
Adding insurance to a quote
There are two ways to add insurance to a quote:
- You can add a policy to an existing quote from the insurance search as described above ☝️
- You can add it as an extra service from the quote itself.
Simply open the quote, edit one of the quote options, select "Add Insurance", and conduct a quick search from there.
⚠️ When you add insurance to a quote, ensure the student knows that the insurance price is tentative, as the final value will be determined when purchasing the policy.
Once the student accepts the quotation, you'll be able to buy the insurance from the search, following the steps above, but clicking "buy now" instead of "add to quote"
Booking Insurance Policies
When you click on Buy Now from the insurance search results, you'll have to:
- Enter the student's details. If the student is already in the platform, you can search for them. If not, you can quickly create a new entry.
- Select
Pay Nowand enter your credit card details (⚠️ your card, not the student’s since here you'll be paying the net price). - Once completed, you’ll see the insurance booking in the Insurance Bookings section, where you can track the status of your purchase. Our insurance team will process it according to the stablished SLAs.

Important Notes:
- Only admins and users with specific permissions can buy insurance.
- Note that insurance providers usually charge in their local currency (e.g., OSHC insurance is paid in AUD).
