How to create a proposal

You can now create a proposal for any product sold through Edvisor — a program, insurance, accommodation, add-ons, fees, or any combination. You no longer need to start from a program. This article shows the different ways to start a proposal and how to build one.

Note: Quotes are now called Proposals, and Course is now called Program. These labels appear across navigation, proposal pages, and search. Student-facing documents and communications stay the same.

What's new

  • Build a proposal without a program — quote insurance, accommodation, add-ons, fees, or any mix of products.
  • Start a proposal directly from a student's profile — the student is linked automatically.
  • Jump between a proposal and the student's profile with a single click.

Where you can start a proposal

You can start a proposal from several places:

  • From Search (search a program and start a proposal).
  • From the Activities page, using the buttons on the right side.
  • From a student's profile (Start a new proposal at the top).
  • From inside an existing proposal (create new proposals alongside it), or from the Proposals tab (from a template, from program search, from insurance search, or from a custom program).

How to create a proposal

From program search

  1. Go to Search.
  2. Search for a program.
  3. Start a proposal from the results.

From the Activities page

Use the Create Proposal button on the Quick Actions left-side menu of the Activities page to start a new proposal.

From a student's profile

  1. Open the student's profile.
  2. At the top, click + New Proposal.
  3. The student is automatically linked — you don't need to search for them again.

From an existing proposal

Inside a proposal you've already created, you can create new proposals alongside it. From the Proposals tab, click the New Proposal button on the top right.

Build a proposal without a program

When you start a new proposal, click Add option and choose what to include first. The first option can be any product type:

  • Programs
  • Insurance
  • Accommodation
  • Add-ons
  • Fees

You can combine products, or create a proposal with only insurance, accommodation, add-ons, fees, or any mix of these. These proposals can be saved, previewed, emailed to students, and reused as templates — just like any other proposal.

  • From program search

Good to know

  • Program-free proposals can be saved as templates and reused for future students.
  • When editing a proposal, use the shortcut in the student field to open the student's profile.
  • If you cancel adding an item, the empty option is removed automatically, so you won't have blank cards.
