How to use the Activities dashboard

The Activities dashboard is the default home page after you log into Edvisor. It pulls every pending action across proposals, sales, payments, documents, tasks, and connection requests into one prioritized feed organized by urgency, so you can see what needs attention without switching between sections.

You can also reach it any time from Activities at the top of the main sidebar.
What you'll see
- Welcome message and date range at the top, showing the current activity window.
- Filters (top right): Activity Range and Assigned To. The Office filter sits in the office switcher at the top of the page.
- Activity feed (centre): tabs grouped by domain, with activities split into Overdue / Today / Upcoming.
- Quick Actions (right sidebar): the most-used moves so you don't leave the dashboard.
- Activities Summary (right sidebar): a snapshot of recent activity volume.
Tabs
The feed is split into six domain-based tabs. Each tab is permission-gated, so you only see what your role grants:
A counter badge appears on a tab when there are pending items.
Activity types
Within each tab, the feed pulls from 10 events across the student lifecycle. Each is either Actionable (something needs your attention) or Informational (notification only):
Each row links straight to where the action lives — the student page, the sale, the task. Connection Requests are handled inline with Accept and Decline buttons.
Time buckets
Activities within each tab are grouped into three buckets:
- Overdue — anything past due.
- Today — anything due today.
- Upcoming — anything due within the date range you have selected.
Filters
- Activity Range — a configurable date range from 7 to 45 days, applied symmetrically before and after today. This controls how far back the Overdue bucket reaches and how far forward Upcoming extends.
- Assigned To (admin only) — switch between your own activities, all counsellors, or a selected subset. Useful for spotting bottlenecks, balancing workload across the team, or covering a counsellor who's out.
- Office — scope the feed to a specific office. Useful when you manage multiple locations. Located in the office switcher at the top of the page.
Filter selections persist in the URL, so a particular view is easy to bookmark or share with a colleague.
Quick Actions
The most-used moves live in the right sidebar so common tasks don't pull you out of the feed:
- Create Proposal — Start a new student proposal.
- Create Sale — Start a new sale.
- Add Student — Spin up a new student record.
- Create Application — Kick off an application for an existing student.
- Create Task — Capture a follow-up while you're triaging the feed.
