How to report a pricing error

Last updated: July 27, 2026

Report pricing error: 3 paths. (1) From search: Report Price Error tag below price. (2) From quote: Edit option > Report Pricing Error. (3) Post-sale (already paid): use Customer Pricing Issue Form (opens support ticket). Most resolved in 24h, complex cases 3 days. More reports = better platform accuracy.

[COMPLIANCE] This article covers the EdCover price-coverage program (claim eligibility, compensation, and limits). It must be reviewed by Phil M. before it is set to Current — do not publish on admin approval alone. For the authoritative terms, see the EdCover Program Terms and Conditions page (linked below).

If a price looks wrong, you can report it in three ways depending on where you are: from course search, from a quote, or — after a payment — through a claim reviewed under EdCover, Edvisor's price coverage program. Reporting errors keeps pricing accurate for everyone.

What it is

Pricing errors happen when the price shown on the platform differs from the provider's actual price. Reporting them helps the operations team fix the data quickly. There are three ways to report, depending on your situation.

1. From course search

  1. Search for the program you want.
  2. On the right side, click the price of the program. A window opens with the price details and other information.
  3. Below that window, click Report price error.
  4. A new window opens. Describe why you think the price is wrong, attach a school brochure or flyer that shows the different price, and click Submit.

2. From a quote

  1. Open the quote and click Edit.
  2. On the left side, you'll see all the items in your quote.
  3. Below each item, click Report price error to report the issue.

You can report a price error for a program, a fee, a school accommodation, or an insurance added from the insurers available on the platform.

Note: If the item is customizable or was created by the user or the agency, the Report price error button will not appear. This button is only for prices that Edvisor maintains and updates on the platform.

How the review works (search and quote)

Once you report on the platform that a program price may be wrong, our team reviews the case. Within up to 3 working days, we contact you by email with one of the following:

  • Confirmation that the price was wrong and has already been corrected.
  • A request for more information from you, if we need it.
  • A note that we need extra information from the school to confirm whether the price is wrong.
  • Notice that the program was quoted incorrectly. For example, this can happen when the search parameters are not set correctly — such as the student's age, nationality, location, or the dates.

3. After a payment (post-sale) — EdCover claims

If payment has already been made, the in-platform tools above are not available. In this case, fill out the Customer Pricing Issue Form. This opens a support ticket, and our team reviews the claim under EdCover, Edvisor's price coverage program.

How the review works

  • Our team checks the claim against the EdCover terms and conditions.
  • If the claim does not meet all the terms and conditions, it will be denied.
  • If the error is confirmed and all the terms and conditions were met, one of the outcomes below applies.

Possible outcomes

  • If the error was a data entry mistake or a platform technical issue: you may receive a refund of the price difference as a credit on your Edvisor subscription, up to a maximum of USD 500, following the EdCover terms.
  • If the error was the school's fault (for example, the school did not tell us about a price or promotion update, gave us wrong information, or did not do its part): the school will be asked to send a corrected invoice to the agency that matches the price quoted on the platform.

What EdCover covers (eligibility)

A claim can qualify only if all of these are true:

  • The information affects the final price — for example: base price, discount value, promotional structure and eligibility, minimum or maximum durations, student eligibility requirements, region-specific restrictions, or eligibility dates.
  • The information is shown on the Edvisor Platform as part of a quote created entirely within the platform.
  • The offering is part of the program, shown by an EdCover badge next to the price.
  • The information relates to a course or accommodation service, including directly associated fees, promotions, and discounts.

To qualify for compensation

To receive compensation or a remedy, all of the following must be met:

  • The enrollment with the provider was made through the Edvisor Platform.
  • The claim is submitted through the pricing claim form no later than 40 calendar days after the initial quote and within 10 calendar days of the invoice date.
  • The booking fully matches the quote (offerings, student information, date ranges, and any other details).
  • You provide proof of payment for a provider invoice with a total that differs from the quoted price.
  • The invoice is dated within 30 days of the corresponding quote.
  • You have an active, paid Edvisor subscription (compensation is not available on free or trial plans).

Limits

  • Per claim: compensation will not exceed USD 500.
  • Per single offering: total compensation to a single agency for one offering in any 90-day period will not exceed USD 500.
  • Edvisor may apply additional aggregate limits at its discretion.
  • Edvisor may offer non-monetary remedies instead of or in addition to money (for example, future credits or invoice adjustments).
  • No double recovery: you cannot claim compensation for the same error from both the provider and Edvisor. Compensation from one party offsets the other.

Edvisor will fix any reported error, but compensation is only given when a booking is made and is eligible under EdCover.

What happens after you submit

  • Your report goes directly to the operations team.
  • Most cases are resolved within 48 hours.
  • Cases that need investigation can take up to 5 working days.
  • Support may email your agency for more information or to share updates.
