How to clear your browser cache

Clear browser cache (recommended first troubleshooting step for sync issues). Chrome: 3-dots > More tools > Clear browsing data > All time + Cookies + Cached files > Clear. Firefox: Options > Privacy & Security > Clear Data. Edge: 3-dots > Settings > Choose what to clear. Refresh page after.

Many Edvisor data sync issues are caused by cached content. Clearing the browser cache is the recommended first troubleshooting step.

Why it matters

With hundreds of schools updating prices and content daily, build-up of old cached data can cause apparent display issues. Clearing the cache resolves most of these instantly. Most reported "bugs" turn out to be caching issues.

Recommended browser

Google Chrome is recommended for the best Edvisor experience.

Chrome

  1. Click More (3 dots) in the top right.
  2. Click More tools > Clear browsing data.
  3. Choose a time range (use All time to clear everything).
  4. Check Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
  5. Click Clear data.
  6. Refresh the page.

Firefox

  1. Click the menu button.
  2. Select Options > Privacy & Security.
  3. Under Cookies and Site Data, click Clear Data.
  4. Uncheck Cookies and Site Data, leave Cached Web Content checked.
  5. Click Clear.
  6. Refresh the page.

Edge

  1. Click the 3-dots menu (upper right).
  2. Click Settings > Choose what to clear (under Clear browsing data).
  3. Check Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files.
  4. Click Clear.
  5. Refresh the page.
