Terrawind Brazil: Trip Study 100 and Trip Study 250 coverage and limits
Last updated: October 9, 2026
Scope — Terrawind Brazil only. These are Terrawind Brazil plans. Terrawind Brazil and Terrawind Global are two separate organizations that share only a brand name. Terrawind Global plans have their own coverage, rules and figures, are documented separately, and nothing on this page applies to them.
TW Trip Study 100 and TW Trip Study 250 are two tiers of the same Terrawind Brazil student travel plan. Outside the medical limit and the daily rate, Trip Study 100 and Trip Study 250 are identical, benefit for benefit — every other benefit amount matches line for line. Read the table below as one plan with two price points, not as two different products.
Benefits Comparison
Medical & Health Benefits
Both plans cover medical assistance for illness — explicitly including COVID-19 — or accident, including injuries from amateur sports, up to the plan's medical limit (USD 100,000 on Trip Study 100, USD 250,000 on Trip Study 250). This is the core benefit and the main thing that differentiates the two tiers.
Emergency dental assistance is covered up to USD 700, and pharmacy costs for medication prescribed during the trip are reimbursed up to USD 800 per event.
If the insured needs to be brought home for medical reasons, medical repatriation is covered up to USD 40,000, and funeral repatriation up to USD 10,000 in the event of death abroad. A medical transfer/transport benefit (moving the insured between medical facilities) is covered up to USD 1,000.
Neither plan includes companion-related hospitalization benefits (companion support during hospitalization, companion accommodation, hotel stay after discharge, early return of the insured, return of a companion, or accompaniment of a minor or elderly traveler).
Pregnancy
🤰 Pregnancy coverage is included within the standard medical limit, subject to condition and gestational-week restrictions (complications up to the 28th week) rather than a separate cash sub-limit. There is no separate pregnancy sum insured to quote — a covered pregnancy complication draws on the plan's USD 100,000 or USD 250,000 medical limit.
Baggage & Travel Delay Benefits
Both plans reimburse up to USD 300 for baggage delay of more than 8 hours, and up to USD 300 for a flight delay or cancellation of more than 8 hours.
If baggage is permanently lost, both plans cover up to USD 1,200, and damage to luggage is covered up to USD 300. Baggage tracing assistance and assistance for lost documents, tickets, and baggage are included on both plans at no additional limit (listed as "Yes" rather than a dollar amount).
Protected Baggage MAX is an optional upgrade covering up to USD 1,000 on either plan. It is capped at age 75, so travellers aged 76 to 99 can hold the base plan but cannot add this upgrade.
Neither plan includes trip cancellation/interruption coverage.
Life, Disability & Legal Assistance
Both plans include accidental death life insurance of USD 50,000, and cover permanent total or partial disability resulting from a travel accident up to USD 20,000.
If the insured is involved in a traffic accident, legal assistance is covered up to USD 1,500, and a judicial bail advance is available up to USD 10,000 should it be needed.
What's Not Covered
Trip Study 100 and Trip Study 250 do not include:
Companion support during hospitalization, companion accommodation, hotel stay after hospital discharge, early return of the insured, return of a companion, or accompaniment of a minor/elderly traveler
Trip cancellation/interruption coverage
If a student needs trip cancellation protection or companion benefits, neither Trip Study 100 nor Trip Study 250 will provide them — contact Edvisor support to discuss the options.
⚠ Trip Study 250 Plus is a confirmed Terrawind Brazil product and the fourth plan in this line. Its benefits and rates are not yet published — details coming soon. Contact Edvisor support before quoting this tier; no Trip Study 250 Plus benefits, limits or rates are documented on this page.
