How to Add Student Insurance
Last updated: May 6, 2026
How to add insurance: compare plans from Guard.me, StudyInsured, TerraWind, OSHC providers. Add to proposals or sales. Earn commission automatically. OSHC required for Australia.
Add insurance to any student quote or booking with a few clicks.
How It Works
Insurance is built into the quoting and booking flow. When you build a proposal or create a sale, you can add insurance from multiple providers:
- Guard.me — largest specialist student insurer
- StudyInsured — international student coverage
- TerraWind — travel assistance (strong in Latin America)
- OSHC providers — mandatory health cover for students in Australia (Bupa, Medibank, CBHS, nib, ahm, Allianz Care)
Adding Insurance to a Proposal
- Open a proposal option
- Click Add Insurance
- Select the student's destination and dates
- Compare plans from available providers
- Select the plan and it's added to the option with pricing included
The student sees the insurance as part of their total quote.
Adding Insurance to a Sale
Same process — open the sale, add insurance. Insurance can also be booked on its own without a program.
Searching Insurance Directly
Go to Search > Insurance to browse and compare insurance products independently.
Commissions
You earn commission on every insurance policy sold through Edvisor. Commissions are tracked automatically in your account.
OSHC (Australia)
If your student is going to Australia, they need Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). All six licensed OSHC providers are available in Edvisor. OSHC is required — students cannot get a student visa without it.
