How to manage your email notifications
Last updated: October 9, 2026
Edvisor can email you about applications, your tasks, and activity. The options you see depend on whether you are a school user or an agency user. This article covers both, plus the settings that are the same for everyone.
What it is
Notification settings on the Personal tab control which emails Edvisor sends you. Each option is a checkbox you can turn on or off.
Why it matters
- Get the updates you care about, without inbox overload.
- Make sure you do not miss important events like new applications.
Before you start
These settings apply to your own account only.
Step by step
1. Open your notification settings
- Click the user icon (your initials) in the top right.
- Click Settings and open the Personal tab.
- Scroll to the Notifications section.
2. Choose which emails you receive
The options in the Notifications section depend on your account type.
If you are a school user, you can turn on or off:
- Email me when there's a new application — click Customize to fine-tune which applications trigger an email.
- Email me when an agency requests to connect
- Email me when a new agency signs up to agency portal
- Email me the monthly School Insights digest
If you are an agency user, you can turn on or off:
- Receive application notifications (Direct Sales)
- Receive unassigned application notifications (Direct Sales)
3. Set your task and activity emails (all users)
Higher up on the same page, both school and agency users can control:
- Email me about my tasks (under Other Preferences).
- Send me a weekly activity report email (under Activity Center Notification). The report type is set automatically based on your role.
Your changes save on this page.
Tips and common issues
- If you stop getting an expected email, check that its box is still ticked here.
- Some options depend on your role and the features your account uses, so you may not see every option.
