EdWallet incoming fees: student pays in different currency = 1.8% FX spread to student, no agency/school fee. Same currency = $10 flat for wire, 1-3% for credit card depending on currency. Agency sending corporate funds = 0.8% spread.
Fees on student payments collected via EdWallet, EdCommerce, quotes, or Student Portal.
Student pays in a different currency
- Agency/school fees: None.
- Student fees: 1.8% spread on FX rate (covers transaction costs).
- Card payments: Additional processing fees included in the FX rate (covers issuer + processor).
Student pays in same currency
No fees for agency or school. Student-side fees:
Agency sends corporate funds from local bank to EdWallet
A 0.8% spread applies to cover transaction fees (e.g. USD to BRL).
