How to set up Proposal display preferences

Display preferences are reusable templates that control what students see in a proposal and how it is presented in the Student Portal. Open your user button → Recruitment → Proposals tab, add a display preference, then use the Price & Institution tab to set Price Breakdown (Grouped totals, Itemized by section, De-emphasize prices, Hide all prices), Currency Settings (number format, currency format, currency conversion), and School Display Settings (program description, school name, school images, campus information). Only one template can be the default at a time, and a live preview shows changes as you make them.

Display preferences control what information students see in a proposal and how it is presented in the Student Portal. You create reusable templates, then apply them to specific schools or programs — or set one as the default for everything else.

Where to find it

  1. Click your user button in the top-right corner.
  2. Go to the Recruitment section.
  3. Open the Proposals tab.

You will see two sections there: Proposal display preference and Proposal branding.

Some navigation paths describe this as Settings → Recruitment → Proposals. This is understood to be the same Proposals settings tab reached a different way — the user button is the route confirmed against the live UI.

Create a display preference

  1. Click Add display preference (top right).
  2. Enter a Name for the template.
  3. Choose how the template is applied:

Only one default template is allowed at a time. If you need different rules for particular schools or programs, create separate templates and assign them instead.

Every change is reflected in the live preview alongside the settings, so you can see how the proposal will look before saving.

To change what an existing template applies to later, open the template and use the Assignment logic tab.

Price & Institution settings

After saving, open the Price & Institution tab to choose what students see.

Price Breakdown

How pricing is displayed:

  • Grouped totals — related fees (for example a program's tuition, registration, and material fees) are combined and shown as one total. The same applies to insurance, accommodation, and other items.
  • Itemized by section — every item shows its own price, plus the total at the end.
  • De-emphasize prices — hides prices in the option summaries while keeping the fee summary visible.
  • Hide all prices — no prices are shown (information only).

Currency Settings

  • Number Format — choose how numbers are formatted: 1,000,000.00 (US/UK) or 1.000.000,00 (EU/Latin America).
  • Currency Format — choose Full, Compact, or Code only.
  • Currency Conversion — choose which currency prices are shown in:

School Display Settings

  • Program Description — Show program description or Hide program description.
  • School Name — Official name or Hide name.
  • School Images — Show school logo and gallery, Hide all school images, or Show agency logo only (the school gallery is hidden so no school branding appears).
  • Campus Information — choose what campus information to include:

When you are done, click Save.

Tips

  • Only one display preference can be the default. Use assigned templates for school- or program-specific rules.
  • Use the live preview to check each change before saving.
