Creating and managing EdCommerce providers

Consolidated guide to adding, configuring, and managing providers on an EdCommerce site. Covers the two ways to add providers from Settings > Providers (importing providers already connected to your Edvisor account via toggles, search and program-type/destination filters or "Import All", and creating a new custom provider from scratch or by duplicating an existing one), the provider configuration page (logo, banner, name, destination, website, YouTube channel, address, description, terms & conditions, images, the three page themes, previewing with "Access Now", and the manual-entry warning for fully custom providers). Also covers managing accommodation providers (Settings > Accommodations) and additional services (Settings > Additional Services) — adding your own agency offerings imported from Edvisor and assigning them per provider, the show/hide provider toggles, and curating an individual partner's list via Settings > Providers > Edit Accommodations / Edit Additional Services.

Creating and editing providers

Creating and editing providers on EdCommerce can seem like a daunting task, but with our step-by-step guide, you'll be able to create and modify providers with ease.

• Go to your EdCommerce site settings > click on "Providers".

You'll see you have 2 main options:

• Import Providers
• Create New Provider

Both options will take you to the provider configuration page where you can customize the information and appearance of your provider's landing page.

Import Providers

This option allows you to import the providers connected to your Edvisor account.

You may have already completed this step during the setup of your EdCommerce. However, feel free to revisit this option at any time if you wish to add more of your Edvisor providers.

To proceed, click on this option and use the toggle button to select the providers you'd like to import.

Utilize the search bar and the filters (program type and destinations) to easily locate the providers you want to import.

You can also choose "Import All" if you prefer to import all your Edvisor providers.

Once you're ready, click "Import Providers."

Create New Provider

This option allows you to create new custom providers you don't have on your Edvisor account.

First, you'll be asked if you want to create a new provider from scratch or duplicate an existing provider, choose the option that best suits your needs.

When you choose either option, you'll be directed to the provider's landing page.

• If you've selected "create a provider from scratch," the page will be blank, awaiting your input.
• If you opt to duplicate an existing provider, the page will come pre-filled with information.

Provider Configuration Page

Whether you've selected an existing provider or you are creating a new one, on the configuration page, you have the flexibility to customize the design of the provider's landing page, including elements such as logos, banners, and images.

IMPORTANT

If you're creating a completely new provider from scratch, you'll need to manually input all the necessary information.

We highly recommend using information from your Edvisor account, as it updates automatically without any manual intervention. Leave this manual entry only for providers you don't have on Edvisor.

You can always click on "I Prefer to Connect with My Edvisor Account" to import a template from an existing educator.

On this configuration page you can enter your provider's:

• Logo
• Banner
• Name
• Destination: Country, Province and City
• Website
• Youtube Channel
• Address
• Description
• Terms & Conditions
• Images

Please bear in mind that the information you input here is linked to your EdCommerce main search, so ensure its accuracy.

Additionally, you can choose from one of the three available themes to personalize the appearance of the page.

When you're prepared, click "Save."

Preview your Provider's Landing Page

To preview the page, simply click "Access Now" to view the live version. Once you've finished making changes, click "Save" to apply them.

Add your provider's programs

Now that you've set up your provider's page, it's ready for your students to find all the information they need!

The next step is to add the provider's programs, you can do that using cards.

Managing accommodation providers

With EdCommerce, you have full control over the accommodation options that appear alongside your educational programs.

You can:

• Showcase your own accommodation offerings (as an agency).
• Display accommodation options provided by your school partners. (Or your own services if you are an education provider).
• Show different accommodations depending on the program or education provider.

This flexibility ensures you're presenting the most suitable accommodation choices for each specific program, enhancing your students' experience.

To access the accommodation settings, just hit the button to edit your EdCommerce site, then head over to settings > accommodations.

Add your own accommodation providers (as an agency)

You'll find the list of your own accommodation providers. This list is imported from your Edvisor account.

To customize the accommodation associated with each education provider or program, hover your mouse over each accommodation > then click on the three-dot icon > and select "Assign Provider."

Simply flip the toggle on or off for each educator and create your custom list.

Showcase the accommodation from your Education Providers

You can also control whether to show or hide your provider's accommodations and which of their accommodation options you'd like to offer.

If you are an educator using EdCommerce, follow these instructions too.

Within the same section (settings > accommodations) you'll see the option "Show provider accommodations":

• If you flip the toggle on (it'll turn blue), EdCommerce will start showing all the accommodation options from your partner educators.
• If you flip it off (it'll turn grey), EdCommerce will hide all the accommodation options from your educators, leaving only your own custom accommodation as an option.

Manage the accommodation offered by your education partners

Looking to control which accommodation options from your partner schools are available? It's simple. Here's how:

• Navigate to the 'Providers' section by going to Settings > Providers.
• Locate the provider you wish to edit and click on the 3-dot icon next to their name > choose 'Edit Accommodations'
• You'll see a list of accommodation options provided by the school or institution. Easily toggle each option on or off to make them available or unavailable.

If no accommodation options appear, it means the provider doesn't offer any accommodations.

With these steps, you can fine-tune what you offer, ensuring you're always providing the best accommodation options for your students.

Managing additional services

With EdCommerce, you have full control over the additional services that appear alongside your educational programs.

You can:

• Showcase your own additional services (as an agency).
• Display additional services provided by education providers (or your own services if you are an education provider).
• Show different additional services depending on the program or education provider.

This flexibility ensures you're presenting the most suitable additional services for each specific program, enhancing your students' experience.

To access the additional services settings, hit the button to edit your EdCommerce site, then head over to Settings > Additional Services.

You'll find the list of your own additional services. This list is imported from your Edvisor account.
