How to Create and Set Up Email Templates for Payment Reminders

Personalizing your payment request and payment reminder emails in Edvisor keeps your communication clear, professional, and on-brand. This guide shows you how to create templates and customize their content.

  • Attachments (optional).

  • Default templates for your team.

  • Timing settings: When to send the payment request and how often to send reminders.

How to Customize Payment Emails

1. Edit the email when sending a payment request

When you create a Payment Request from the Sales section:

  1. Fill in the payment details as usual.

  2. In the email editor, you can: 

    • Select an existing template and edit it, OR
    • Write a custom email from scratch.
3. Send the payment request as normal.

2. Set default email templates for your team

If you want to keep things consistent:

  1. Go to SettingsCompanyEmails.

  2. Scroll down to the first section 'Templates', and create a new template if you haven’t done so already.

    Click the + New Template button, add your content, and Save.

    💡Make sure to give it a clear name so you can identify it quickly in the next step.


  3. Once created, scroll down to “Notification emails for sale payment plans”.


    Here, you can configure and select default templates for:

    • Payment Requests: Emails asking the student to make a specific payment, with a secure payment button included.
    • Payment Reminders: A follow-up email reminding the student to complete that pending payment.

3. These templates will be preloaded whenever you send these emails.


Notes:

  • The payment button will always be included in payment request and reminder emails.
  • Users can override these default content in a sale if necessary.
