Set up automated payment emails in Edvisor so students get reminders on time and you save follow-up work.
In Edvisor, you can automate emails to request and remind students about payments. This ensures they receive timely notifications and makes the payment process easier.
This article explains:
1. What Are Payment Requests and Payment Reminders?

Payment Request: An email sent to the student before a payment is due, asking them to pay. You can set it to send X days before the due date. The email always includes a secure payment button so the student can pay online.

Payment Reminder: An email sent after the payment due date if the student hasn’t paid yet. You can set reminders to be sent automatically every X days until the payment is made. These emails also include the payment button.
💡 If the student has a payment plan, each scheduled payment can have its own request and reminders. If the student has only one payment, the emails will only be triggered once.
How to Set Up Payment Requests and Reminders
Option 1: When you create or edit a Payment Plan in a Sale:

Open a Sale >
Payments
>Create Payment Plan
2. Fill in the details of your payment plan and scroll down to the Notification Emails section. This is where you’ll configure your reminder emails

Set the Payment Request:

Enter the number of days before the due date to send the payment request email.

(Optional) Check Use a custom email template for Payment Requests if you want to use a specific template.

From the dropdown menu, select the email template you want to use.

- Set the Reminders:

Enter how many days after the due date the reminder email should be sent.

This reminder will repeat at the same interval until the payment is completed.

Option 2: Set Company Defaults
To apply the same rules to all sales and avoid repeating this process:

Go to
Settings
→Company
→Email
Scroll down to the Notification Emails for Sale Payment Plans section, where you can configure your Payment Requests and Reminders. Here you can select templates and set fixed sending times so these rules apply to all sales across your company.
Important Notes

The payment button is always included in both Payment Requests and Payment Reminders.

You can attach files to these emails if necessary.

Users can override default settings in individual sales.
