Learn how to connect your email using the IMAP protocol.

Underlying all emails providers use IMAP, from Gmail, to Microsoft and GoDaddy. IMAP and POP are two methods to access email. IMAP is the recommended method when you need to check your emails from several different devices, such as a phone, laptop, and tablet.
Edvisor Recruit has specific integrations to enable more functionalities to dozens of providers, such as Gmail, Exchange, Outlook, Office 365, Mail.ru, QQ Mail, etc), but if you use an email provider that we currently don't have a custom integration you can use our IMAP integration.
IMAP integration works with any email provider, it's a standard protocol and we support it fully. But we are are not able to read encrypted email providers such as ProtonMail.
What will you need?
You will need the following to connect your IMAP email account:
- Email: Your email address.
- Password: Your password.
- IMAP host: Your email provider IMAP host.
- IMAP port: By default, we use 993. But your email provider may use a different one.
- SMTP host: Your email provider SMTP host.
- SMTP port: By default, we use 587. But your email provider may use a different one.
Every email provider will have a different host and the configuration above can only be provided by your email provider. For example, this is how you get this data for GoDaddy.
How do I connect my IMAP account to Edivisor Recruit?
Here's what you need to do in order to connect your IMAP account:
- Follow our article that gives you the step-by-step on how to connect new emails;
- Choose IMAP;
- Provide the data above when requested. The popup looks similar to this:
Note that the popup above will open when you click on IMAP. If it doesn't open, make sure your browser is allowing Popups for Edvisor Recruit.
