How paid and free users work

Last updated: August 5, 2026

Edvisor now has two types of user: Paid and Free. Only paid users count toward your bill. Free users are unlimited and never change your price — so you can put your whole admin team on Edvisor and pay only for the people who actually sell.

Who this is for

This applies to school accounts only. Agencies keep their current team and billing flow, unchanged.

The two user types

  • Free user — no cost, and never counts toward your bill. A good fit for admin and admissions staff who work with enrolments, insurance, and program price look-ups.
  • Paid user — full access to the CRM, quotes, sales, and reports. Counts toward your bill.

A teammate is always one or the other, and you can switch them later.

How billing works

  • Every school plan includes 2 paid seats at no extra cost.
  • The 3rd paid user onward adds a small prorated charge (only for the remaining part of the billing period).
  • Free users never affect your bill — adding or removing them changes nothing.
  • Switching a Paid user to Free (or removing a paid user) gives money back as a prorated credit.
  • Your account must always keep at least 1 paid user — you can't make the whole team free.

How to choose Paid or Free

When you add or manage a teammate, you pick Paid or Free. This choice sets both what the person can do and whether your bill changes.

  1. Go to Settings → Team.
  2. Invite a new team member, or open an existing one.
  3. Choose the user type: Paid or Free.

You can switch a teammate between Paid and Free at any time.

What each user type can do

Good to know

  • Insurance, Bookings, and the Enrolments Inbox stay open to all users.
  • You can switch between Paid and Free at any time; moving a user to Free returns a prorated credit.
  • Your account must always keep at least 1 paid user.
