How to share or assign a form
Last updated: May 7, 2026
Once a form is set up, you can distribute it three ways: share a public link, embed it on your website, or assign it directly to a student in your pipeline. Each method works for different scenarios — this article covers all three.
After you save a form, three distribution options are available. The first two live in Form Settings → Share Form; the third works from a student's profile.
Edvisor generates a public URL for every form, visible in Form Settings → Share Form → Share via Link. Click Copy Link to copy it.
Use a public link for:
- Lead-capture campaigns where you want to share the form on social media, in email signatures, or in marketing emails.
- Anyone in possession of the link can submit the form, even if they don't have an Edvisor account.
Embed on your website
The same Share Form section includes an Embed on your website snippet. Click Copy Snippet and paste it into your website's HTML.
Use the embed for:
- Lead-capture forms on your own marketing site.
- Keeping students on your domain instead of redirecting them to Edvisor.
Assign to a specific student
To send a form to a student already in your pipeline:
- Go to Pipelines and open the student's profile.
- Click the Forms tab.
- Pick the form and assign it to the student.
What happens next:
- The student receives an email letting them know a form is waiting for them.
- They can fill it out from their student portal.
- When they submit, the answers update their profile based on the form's If field value already exist preference (Append, Replace, or Skip).
- You receive a notification email and the response shows up in the form's Responses tab.
Use Assign to a student for:
- Collecting visa or passport information after a student is already on file.
- Asking a student to confirm or update profile details before booking.
- Any structured data collection from a known student.
