Personal Settings: reminders and other preferences
Last updated: July 27, 2026
Settings → Personal holds your Reminder Preferences — program start, program end, unpaid invoice due, student birthday, and studying duration — each switched on with a tick box and a timing under Select an Option, appearing in your notifications bar (bell icon) rather than by email. Other Preferences covers email reminders for your tasks, highlighting students as new for a chosen period, and automatically archiving students inactive for longer than a chosen period. All of these apply to your own account and view only.
Configure your personal reminders and preferences in Settings → Personal. These preferences apply to your own account and your own view.
Reminder preferences
Scroll to Reminder Preferences. Tick the box for any reminder you want, then pick a timing under Select an Option:
Reminders appear in your notifications bar (the bell icon on the right side) inside Edvisor — not by email. Your changes save on this page.
Other preferences
Scroll to Other Preferences. The defaults are recommended but adjustable.
- Email me about my tasks. Receive email reminders for tasks you create.
- Highlight students as new when they are added within… Tick the box and choose a time period (for example, 1 day). New students show a "new" highlight for that period, so they are easy to spot.
- Archive students that haven't been active for over… Tick the box and choose a time period under Select an Option. Students with no activity for longer than that period are archived automatically. Archiving only hides them from your active list — archived students can still be found.

Language
Choose the platform language. This affects what you see, but does not change the content of quotes or emails sent to students. See How to change your display language.
Tips and common issues
- If you do not see reminders, check that the box is ticked and a timing is selected.
- Reminders show in your notifications bar inside Edvisor, not by email.
- If students disappear from your active list, check the auto-archive setting — they may have been archived, not deleted.
